  1. As far as initial looks go.... 5 Star Review

Very impressive blank for the money bought on sale. I'm planning to stub/rebarrel a BSA Martini Cadet single shot and chambered to 300 AAC and using 357 brass run into 300 sizing die requiring only minor extractor metal removal. I'm still investigating the soundness of stubbing - have stub donor barrel reserving # matched orig'l brl which is reamed to 32-20, so may down the rd have it rebored/rifled to 357mag, or maybe not if the 300 pans out and sings.

Anyone have reservations on my basic stub barreling plan? I may add a pivoting near half round cross pin that cuts through to barrel thread root depending on donor brl thrd snugness. And add some set screw[s] thru donor into smooth GMB smooth tenon divots along with marine-tex etc.

I bought my first Green Mountain barrel at least 15 years ago and it was the best shooting barrel I had ever tried on my 10/22. Since then I have bought about a dozen barrel blanks and would do it all over again because I don't have a single complaint. All of them have shot better than what I was suspecting and they answer their phone.

I have used Green Mountain barrel blanks for many projects. Good quality metal that turned easy makes a great finish wether what your desired outcome. The accuracy of these barrels are in many cases better than a factory barrel. My project list has gotten a lot smaller due to the price and quality of these barrels.

I have used quite a few blanks from GMB and all of them have turned out to be high quality and a great value. This one I turned and replaced the 5.56 barrel on a Mossberg MVP. Turned out great

i put this barrel on a mauser action and have had only mediocre results. it shoots two inches plus with ball ammo. and with 210smk with many different tests only able to get about 1.25" at 100yd for 5 shots. some times it will print a nice group .8 then the next will be a 1.5". i maybe expecting to much from this barrel(for the price i paid) but i was hoping for it to be consistently under 1" with match ammo.
