Put this barrel on a Ruger 10/22 upgrade with CCI GREENTAG.
From the very 1st to the 100th shot it was gettin it done.
3/8 to 1/2 group at 25 all in a cluster.
Tried CCI VARMIT and group doubled in size.
    Awesome barrel.

  2. Did I just make the perfect 22! 4 Star Review

Bought this barrel for my Thompson Tcr22. Install was a breeze. Accuracy improvement is awesome! Went from 5" to 1" groups at 50y!! Added just enough weight to make it feel perfect. Felt too light with the stock barrel. Topped it off with a Primary Arms 6x rimfire scope acss reticle for 120 bucks! Cci blazer seams to be the best match so far. Not as accurate as standard velocity ammo but matches the reticle better. Gave it 4

  3. Dont let this short skinny barrell fool you it is extremely accurate! 5 Star Review

My 10/22 deluxe sporter needed a new barrel, I bought it when I was 12 and after 35 yrs of use and abuse it was toast, it would only shoot a 5" group at 50yd. After some research and knowing I wanted to keep the rifle light and short and also wanted to keep my nice walnut stock I ordered up one of these awesome barrels! It took some fitting with an adhesive sanding disc wrapped around the old barrel to open up the barrel channel. At first I tried it with keeping the stock pressure point in the barrel channel at the fore end and was getting 1" to 1 1/2" groups at 50 yd after breaking in. (10 rounds, clean, repeat for first 100 shots) Then, I went ahead and free floated the barrel installed an adjustable v block to keep the barrel from "drooping" and I also added a small pressure pad made from a inner tube about 1" long 2 layers thick, laid it in the rear of the barrell channel in front of the v block. I did not bed the action just put 2 layers of black vinyl tape wrapped around rear of action to tighten things up a little and now it is a shooter! Now off of the pickup hood with a rolled up towell it will put 20 rounds shot in about 30 seconds at 50 yd in one big hole you can cover with a quarter!! I call that a real world minute of squirrel test.
Thanks Green Mountain for an awesome product!

  4. SR22 upgrade - accuracy and weight 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th May 2016

Needed a accurate barrel to install on a Ruger SR22.
Broke in barrel in groups of 5 shots and clean, after 25 shots shot off rest at 50 yards, using center-X, last 5 shot group all together in a small connected cluster.
    Very satisfied.

    I have a modest collection of 10/22's
So far I have purchased 9 Green Mountain barrels.
They all take the accuracy of the 10/22 to something I consider to be very good.
Most of my 10/22's will shoot 1/2-5/8" groups at 50 yards.
A huge improvement over the factory barrel.
This barrel was purchased for a 10/22 build that I am doing for my wife, I am sure she will be thrilled with how it shoots.
