Excellent fit and finish. Heated receiver just a bit in the oven (175-180degF) and was able to fit the barrel in the receiver with a few light taps with small rubber hammer. Installed in a MagPul stock using the standard barrel channel that did take a bit of sanding but it was easy to do. Weight of finished 10/22 is just right and accuracy is excellent!

I installed this barrel in a Kidd Classic Receiver. Had to freeze the barrel and warm the receiver to allow assembly. Still required a rubber mallet to complete the installation. But the snug fit paid off. After placing the assembly in a Victor Company Titan stock and mounting a Leupold 3x9 EFR scope, I got very pleasing results with the first trial with CCI Standard Velocity cartridges. First 4 groups (5 shots each) at 25 yards measured, center to center, .220", .350", .205" and .260" . Considering that I didn't use match grade ammo and allowing for human error, I can't imagine getting better results. Since this tapered barrel saved me about 10-12 oz. in weight versus a bull barrel, I am very happy with this barrel. Thanks, Green Mountain.

I LOVE THIS BARREL. Mounted on a blued 10/22 receiver with a black Hogue rubber .920" over-molded stock, it looks great, fits great and shoots great. It's free floated in the .920 barrel channel without looking undersized. After separating the factory barrel with a rubber mallet, I put the GM barrel in the freezer and the receiver in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. With light oil, the GM barrel slid right in by hand. Wish I could show pictures. SEMPER FI

I like this barrel adds enough weight to my 10-22 Ruger to make it a great off hand gun better then the Factory barrel for sure!
Would like to see a 20-22" barrel of this same type! P.S. Also shoots great to!
