  1. outstanding product 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Dec 2018

I have been a huge fan of Green Mountain barrels, have had 8 or so in .17 HMR they are so accurate you can put a bullet in the eye of a prairie dog @ 200+ yards... I ordered a couple barrels for me and my friend I installed them broke them in and never doubted it was going to be a shooter...we consistently shoot .17 HMR brass bases facing us @ 100 yards. or better yet we shoot those little black beetles @ 100+ yards, you better be damn quick to make sure you lead them s they run really fast lol

  2. Excellent Barrel 5 Star Review

Received the barrel as promised. Installed it, shot the 100 round break in following instructions. It will shoot the same hole at 50 yards.
I am very pleased with the performance.

  3. Another outstanding barrel from Green Mountain 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Aug 2018

I have been a huge fan of Green Mountain barrels and had purchased a number of 10/22 barrels over the years and all have not failed or disappointed me. From the moment I saw that GM was going to produce a barrel for the Ruger Precision Rimfire rifle I had my name added to the waiting list. In just a few weeks I received the email announcing that my barrel was ready to be shipped. The speed of delivery was exceptional and it was no time before arrival in the mail. The fluted blackened stainless steel material matched right up to the receiver and looked like OEM. I followed the instructions to the letter on break-in. The rifle has been set up with the following aftermarket parts : Leupold VX-II 4-12XAO with Leupold screw in flip up covers mounted in Burris Tactical rings, Sun Optics foregrip with 750 lumen light and green laser, EGW oversized bolt knob, and Ruger Silent-SR suppressor. For some reason standard magazines do not fit well, thus too many failures to feed. As a result I purchased Tactical Inc aluminum magazines that are easily adjusted. I use CCI Standard Velocity exclusively. It only took a few rounds to get her sighted in. I stopped competing years ago. I do enjoy shooting Polk berries from my back porch at various points outside the edges of the lawn. They are very small and when hit there is a positive response of a purple mist from the individual berry. This new barrel makes it possible to do this.
