15/16" - Interchangeable Barrels

Green Mountain Barrel Company offers 15/16" interchangeable replacement barrels for your specific round ball twist percussion and flint ignition Thompson Center Hawken and similar muzzleloader rifles.

Flintlock muzzleloaders use a piece of flint on an external hammer to strike a steel plate, creating a spark that ignites a charge of very fine powder in a flash pan, which then ignites the main powder charge. We offer flint ignition in our .50 caliber blued replacement rifle barrel.

Percussion muzzleloaders are similar to a flintlock muzzleloader rifles, except that the hammer strikes a 1⁄4 x 28 red hot nipple upon which sits a #11 percussion or musket cap. The spark from the cap travels down through a hole in the nipple and ignites the powder charge. Our barrels have a hooked type breech plug with 11⁄16 x 20 breech threads.

Our muzzleloader rifle barrels come blued with adjustable sights, and complete with ramrod. Whether you need a .32, .40, .45, .50 or .54 caliber rifle barrel, we've got you covered. We even have replacement rifle barrels for your .40 caliber, 38" long muzzleloader rifle. Our replacement interchangeable muzzleloader rifle barrels feature 1:48", 1:60" and 1:70" twist rates and change out with only minor modifications.
