  2. Exceded expectations 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Jan 2018

Since I’ve purchased and installed this barrel, I couldn’t be happier with the quality of workmanship that has gone into it. The bead blasted finish is perfect! And the fit to my Aero upper receiver is rock solid. So far in the last 10 days I’ve shot 180 rounds thru it, one outing at 25yards I was putting ball ammo thru the same holes and if not in the same hole close enough that a quarter would cover a 5 shot group of holes. Second outing was at 100 yards and did some ammo testing with 6 brands of ammo in different bullet weights and all preformed well but two brands I was able to get 1-1/4” groups with 5 shots. I feel very confident going hog hunting with this barrel!

  3. Awesome value 5 Star Review

I've ran about 150 rounds through it so far. The fit and finish is great. Barrel is gassed perfectly. Feed ramps were kind of sharp but that's pretty standard. I put it on an aero upper and lower with aero bcg and an ar stoner enhanced trigger.

Last week shooting 69 grain Winchester match .223 I grouped three rounds .515" and 77 grain black hills 5.56 grouped .860" at 100 yards. All shots were off a bipod with a rear bag. It has fed every .223 and 5.56 round I've tried without any pressure signs.

If your looking for a budget SPR type barrel this is it.

  4. sub-moa 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Jul 2016

Used in a 3-gun build with Aero Precision upper, M16 BCG, and Vortex Strike Eagle optic. Easily sub-moa for 5 shots at 100 yards with 55 grain tipped Varmageddon bullets over 8208. Same POI with 75 grain Hornady HPBT over 8208. Rang a half-size IPSC steel plate at 400 yds 20 times in a row when confirming reticle subtensions. Outshoots my 20" Kriegers for accuracy with highest velocity out of 4 other barrels I tested (all 20"). Unbelievable value. I waited until I had fired over 100 rounds to post a review. I'm delighted. My brother just ordered one and my father is about to order two. Terrific finish with excellent machining of muzzle threads, contour, and chamber. No issues installing this barrel in the upper. Thanks to Green Mountain for a great value. I'll certainly buy many more for my subsequent builds.

I have several BPCR Green Mountain Barrels and it just made sense to stick to the same top quality for the AR-15 I'm building great product very good quality.
