  1. Awesome performance 5 Star Review

Bought this blank to turn on my lathe at home for a 224 Valkyrie pqroject. I chose the 1-8 twist , because I was not planning on using 75gr bullets or lighter projectiles. The blank was turned to a “Spr” contour with a rifle lenght gas system. With an .o80 gas port drilled, the barrel cycles perfectly. With Federal 75gr Tmj ammo, the barrel will shoot 1 moa, with 70% of the bullets grouping better then .5 moa . Pulling the factory bullet and replacing it with a Hornady 75 bthp ( Mexican Match) the barrel will shoot .5 moa. I used several Gm barrel blanks in the past for various gun project, and every barrel has been a great performer. These blanks are a great value.

Used this blank to build a medium weight AR (.840 under the handguard) Shot a .6 moa 5 shot group while tuning gas port. keep your tools sharp when turning these blanks.

  3. Very nice performance 4 Star Review

This 41v50 metal is HATEFUL to cut. It does turn out a nice finish if you do your part, but it is not fun to cut on the lathe at all.

The bore is really nice and the consistency is great.

Despite the 41v50, Green Mountain is a pleasure to work with and their products are impeccably priced.

I have used quite a few of the Green Mt. Barrels and they all have been excellent.
Fast shipping, great customer service, and if you are rolling your own, you cannot beat the price.
