Really nice barrel, part of my upgrade.
Shot a Raccoon at 110yds in the ear.
and a 80# hog sow at 75 yds in the ear with Remington Viper and Leupold Freedom Rimfire scope.
Both hit the ground hard.
My buddy lit em up with a green light flashlight.

My only regret buying a Ruger 10/22 was buying anything more than the action. I've changed the stock, trigger, added an optic, and finally now thanks to Green Mountain, have an accurate barrel.
This barrel has completely transformed the rifle: I consistently get 1 MOA 5-shot groups or better with Aguila Super-extra ammo. Results are a little better with match ammo (CCI Standard, Lapua Center-X), but surprisingly not too much.
Now my 50 yard groups look better than my 20 yard groups with the stock barrel. I shoot steel gongs and aluminum-can sized targets consistently at 175 yards with this little 22. At 25 yards, the groups are clover leafs all day long.
Don't let the short length of the barrel fool you: It's deadly accurate and perfect for maneuvering around the woods. I'm excited to take it into the field this fall for late-season Small game hunting.
Thanks to Green Mountain, the 10/22 is my new favorite rifle. I've shot hundreds of rounds through it and I always get consistent results. The fluting is beautiful. You need this barrel on your rifle.

Put this barrel on a Ruger 10/22 upgrade with CCI GREENTAG.
From the very 1st to the 100th shot it was gettin it done.
3/8 to 1/2 group at 25 all in a cluster.
Tried CCI VARMIT and group doubled in size.
Awesome barrel.

Bought this barrel for my Thompson Tcr22. Install was a breeze. Accuracy improvement is awesome! Went from 5" to 1" groups at 50y!! Added just enough weight to make it feel perfect. Felt too light with the stock barrel. Topped it off with a Primary Arms 6x rimfire scope acss reticle for 120 bucks! Cci blazer seams to be the best match so far. Not as accurate as standard velocity ammo but matches the reticle better. Gave it 4

My 10/22 deluxe sporter needed a new barrel, I bought it when I was 12 and after 35 yrs of use and abuse it was toast, it would only shoot a 5" group at 50yd. After some research and knowing I wanted to keep the rifle light and short and also wanted to keep my nice walnut stock I ordered up one of these awesome barrels! It took some fitting with an adhesive sanding disc wrapped around the old barrel to open up the barrel channel. At first I tried it with keeping the stock pressure point in the barrel channel at the fore end and was getting 1" to 1 1/2" groups at 50 yd after breaking in. (10 rounds, clean, repeat for first 100 shots) Then, I went ahead and free floated the barrel installed an adjustable v block to keep the barrel from "drooping" and I also added a small pressure pad made from a inner tube about 1" long 2 layers thick, laid it in the rear of the barrell channel in front of the v block. I did not bed the action just put 2 layers of black vinyl tape wrapped around rear of action to tighten things up a little and now it is a shooter! Now off of the pickup hood with a rolled up towell it will put 20 rounds shot in about 30 seconds at 50 yd in one big hole you can cover with a quarter!! I call that a real world minute of squirrel test.
Thanks Green Mountain for an awesome product!
