Quiet, even with the action functioning. Dropped it into a tcr22. OEM barrel basically rattled around in the receiver after I loosened the v block. The Green Mountain barrel took a bit of tapping with a mallet, but no heating of the receiver needed. Without bedding the stock yet, I was getting 1.5in groups at 100yds with a yuck trigger. Rifle balances well. Likes to eat CCI standard velocity ammo. CCI minimags came in at about an inch at 100yds, but with a sonic crack. If you want to shoot squirrels and not have the others run away when you shoot, this is the barrel. Did NOT like Remington Subsonics. Was getting a four inch group.

Once it was all set up with the scope I selected. It performed outstanding. It performed with many types of 22 LR ammo very well. I got 0.67" grouping so, I consider this to be a tack driver.

I enjoy long range shooting. This Green Mountain 28" 22LR Blued Sporter BBL for the Ruger 10-22 is outstanding getting 3/4 inch groups at 250 yards. A real pleasure to shoot match ammo. Also quite and stabilizes the 60 grain SSS rounds perfect 1/2 group at 100 yards. Really letting me work on my 300 yard extream .22lr game. You Will want one of these to get all there is out of .22lr it's the Best!
