I have the 16.5 in. barrel. It rest on the synthetic stock with the collar on. The short barrel give less bullet drop with slower bullets. It shot great group with standard, high velocity bullets. their were no misfires, jams. stovepipes, or flyers. With a two lb. trigger I now have the perfect gun.

i have a 16 1/2 in. stainless fluted barrel in a synthetic stock with the collar on. at 40 yards it shoots dime size groups with slow standard velocity bullets. quarter size groups with high velocity bullets. the standard velocity bullets from the 16 1/2 in. barrel have 1/2 less drop age than a 20 in. green mountain barrel that i also have.

Shipped timely and installation easy. Tight groups during break in procedure (provided instructions). Happy with the results and the value.
Some minor scratches on barrel upon arrival gut nothing affecting the accuracy or operation. Its not a safe queen so scratches will occur.

This is my 2nd Green Mountain barrel and won’t be my last. I was looking to build a cheap accurate 10/22. I used the stock synthetic stock and lightly sanded down the barrel channel. Barrel fit like a glove and first time at the range with Federal bulk ammo, I was able to achieve a little over 1/2” 5 shot group at 50 yards. Highly recommend this barrel especially when it’s on sale.

Great service from the folks at Green Mountain ! The 16.5 fluted stainless barrel has a nice snug fit . The finish is very good and the corners of the flutes are straight and even . Even during the break in shots I could tell the barrel was going to be an accuracy upgrade ....Shooting from a bi-pod and hard sandbag I shot two shots at 25 yards in the same hole. I repeated the process till I got the scope zeroed (about 6 groups)every time the two shots touched! At 50 yards and a small elevation adjustment I shot for about an hour,3 and 5 shot groups..... most of the groups were covered with a nickle and about 1/3 of the groups the shots were all touching .
