This order brought my number of Green Mountain SS 20" Fluted barrels to 5. These barrels are extremely accurate and when the kids and grandkids are here the .22s come out for some fun plinking.
Anytime anyone asks me what barrel I would recommend for an all around sporter and my reply is always, Green Mountain. It's a no brainer.

Per Green Mountain Rifle Barrel instructions, I seasoned the barrel as instructed with 200 rounds for it breakin period. After the breakin period, I was able to shoot several groups at 200 yds under 6 inches with non match ammo. In my opinion, that is pretty good using federal American eagle ammo. Previously, with stock barrel same ammo the groups were typically a foot or larger with several strays outside the 12 inch paper plate.

after the normal break in and cleaning procedure I found this barrel to be of top notch quality. It not only looks good but it shoots very well. The fit and finish was perfect. 1/4" groups are easy to achieve. Thanks again

This is my 5th 10/22 Green Mountain "Sporter" barrel and all have shown pride of craftsmanship as evidenced by their quality I have grown to expect from Green Mountain Rifle Barrels. I've also got one of the earliest Ruger Precision Rimfire barrels which proven its worth on varmints on my farm. Green Mountain is always my first choice when assembling a sporter small game 22LR .

Nice barrel My first Better than the factory by far Fit in the original Ruger wood with just some minor sanding work & the barrel band fits also to give it that finished look Have to take that second look or you would think it's a stock rifle I like the way they do business also Sent out a follow up letter USPS Computer generated but still these days?
