Did my first 7.62x39 AR build and this thing performed flawlessly. Everything worked and cycled as intended. Next is to try some cheapo-steel-cased ammos.
10/10 would recommend!

I liked the barrel so much that I decided to buy second one for a new build. I built it up on an A1 carry handle upper with a dedicated retro scope. With Barnul steel cased Russian ammo she shoot less than 1 Minute of angle and had no extraction issues. The chrome lining is a nice touch. It doesn't mean that it won't need normal care, cleaning and oiling, but it does mean that it wont rust or corrode under field conditions. It also means that given the barrels construction from 41v50 steel and the addition of hard chrome bore that this barrel can get smoking hot for sustained periods without throat or muzzle erosion. In a word Mil-spec.

Finally got a chance to sight my rifle in for deer season. I used this barrel for a LH 7.62x39 AR-15 build and this is a great barrel. Shoots extremely true with both re-loads and standard. I'll be back for another barrel soon from GM.
Thanks!

Got this to build a light weight 7.62x39 rifle based off of the Palmetto KS-47. When I installed this on my Palmetto KS-47 upper, I was impressed with how light it was. I shimmed the barrel extension fit with the receiver to have a tight fit and I finally got around to truly testing accuracy after having it for 5 months. I put several hundred rounds through it and it always shot great, but I really finally got to testing some ammo at a 100 yards today from a lead sled. With cheap Wolf ammo (used to be cheap), I got about 1.7inch group at an avg 2470fps(hot stuff). That was using an ArrowHead 1-10x LPVO. With some quick reloads, using 123gr SSTs and the max charge in my reloading manual, I was able to get a pretty consistent 1.5inch group. Velocity avg was 2370fps with the reloads. I haven't got to actually work on an accurate load yet, so I could probably get those group sizes smaller with the right load, but for 7.62x39, that's not bad at all from a semi-auto.
